Q1: How do I protect and handle my Shankara Oracle board?
Your precious Shankara Oracle board deserves some serious TLC!
Keep it away from moisture and direct sunlight, and store it in the protective Shankara box or a safe, dry place.
Very important: Handle the Shankara Oracle board gently, like you would a delicate flower – especially when unfolding and refolding it. Like any intricate item, it can be easily damaged if handled too aggressively.
We’ve tested all of this, so we know! These issues are common with double-fold boards, but all you need to do is be gentle, like a bunny.
Be GENTLE with your board. You might even place a cloth underneath it, depending on the abrasiveness of the surface beneath it. But, most importantly, be gentle, almost meditative, when folding, opening, and closing the board. TAKE YOUR TIME!
It might be best to use your Shankara Oracle Altar Cloth or another sacred cloth to cover the board when you are not using it.
Do not have food and beverages nearby so that there is no chance of spillage pouring on the board. Instead, place your beverages on a separate table. If you must have a beverage nearby the board, place your mug inside a wide bowl to ensure the board’s protection.
Q2: Can I use The Shankara Oracle outdoors?
Of course, dear soul! You can use The Shankara Oracle outside, but please ensure it’s on a stable surface and away from strong winds or extreme weather. A cozy spot under a tree or on your serene porch can be just perfect.
Always make sure there is a solid board or cardboard underneath The Shankara Oracle board so that it does not bend at the folding points to the point of tearing. Be very careful with your board outdoors.
Also, please keep it away from moisture.
Q3: How should I care for the Shankara Sacred Oracle Stones?
Treat your oracle stones like cherished gems! Avoid shaking them too vigorously within the pouch to prevent wear, tear, and breakage. Instead, softly cradle the bag and let the stones speak to you with grace.
Select your sacred stones with care to preserve their structure, value, and integrity. Be gentle with them, softly sifting through the stones with your hand when selecting them for use with the oracle.
Like all stones, the Shankara Sacred Oracle Stones can break if not handled correctly, so be gentle with your sacred stones at all times.
Do not shake your pouch full of Sacred Stones.
Do not drop a stone on the ground.
When selecting stones from the pouch during your Shankara Sessions, gingerly tumble them with your fingers and gently select 3 or 4. They will naturally rub together, and some discoloration and mild scratches might occur, but this will not affect the sturdiness of the stones over time. And it will certainly not affect the spiritual nature of Shankara or the vibration of the stones.
Your Sacred Stones will break like any gemstone if they are not treated carefully. We do not offer individual Sacred Stones for sale at this time, but you can email customer service if you’d like to buy an additional set should any issues occur.
Q4: What’s the best way to store and care for The Shankara Oracle Cards?
Keep your Shankara Oracle cards in the beautiful box they came in or a dedicated pouch to protect them from dust and wear. You might also keep them placed on the board in their allocated space but do cover them to keep them safe.
Remember, the four decks of Shankara Oracle Cards love to be handled with clean, gentle hands. Additionally, always shuffle them gently to preserve the gold edging and their overall integrity.
If one of your cards tears for any reason, simply use clear tape to fix it. This will not reduce the cards’ value or effectiveness.

Your oracle loves a good cleanse and blessing! Cleaning the board and cards should never be done with water. Simply dust them off gently. Depending on your intuition and comfort, clean your Shankara oracle as often as it feels right for you.
Moonlight, sage smudging, deep prayer, chanting Sanskrit mantras, or sprinkles of love and gratitude work wonders for keeping your Shankara Oracle clean and ready for use.

Cracked or chipped, your stones still hold deep insights and loving energy. You can repair your stones with glue meant for ceramics and stones.
